If I had to pick one image from this series as the one I most prefer, this would be it.  In a sense, it stands on middle ground.  The first is the most "realistic," with plenty of sharp detail, while the second is the most abstract, owing to just a hint of detail.  In this image, there is some detail visible in the shoreline and increased detail (compared to the second) in the water.  Ultimately, though my preference is based on the stark nature of the pilings, shown here as jet black, and also on the composition showing the sky meeting the sea in the top right.
