and how sweet it is for a picture man to roam about cataloguing the bounty of the unexplainable.  As the other fellow said… “the true mystery of the world is the visible, not the invisible”, and your title perfectly describes that thin thread we negotiate every day…

Thanks for dropping by and taking the time to comment on this picture. I'm afraid I'm a serial picture taker and can't stop myself even when I'm more than a year behind in processing the pictures I've already taken. I'm just too curious what I'll find when I set off with my camera - and there's always something interesting.

Carlos - I remember that quote but I can't remember who said it. It's right on the money.

Oscar the Wilde man wrote...

“People say sometimes that Beauty is superficial. That may be so. But at least it is not so superficial as Thought is. To me, Beauty is the wonder of wonders. It is only shallow people who do not judge by appearances. The true mystery of the world is the visible, not the invisible.”

Boy, I can just imagine the faces at the dinner table when he said THAT.

It is interesting that people all over the world will view this and I am sure that  a part of their cultural heritage will come into play. I would like to explain "liming' which is distinctively Caribbean in origin and it is a word I wish to describe this scene.

Liming is sometimes described as the art of hanging around and doing nothing but there is a important social aspect where one might discuss politics or simply watch the girls go by. The word is associated with sitting under a lime tree, or having nothing more demanding to do than squeezing limes or chatting. It is also thought to originate from "limey", a slang term meaning a British serviceman during World War II (noted for hanging around bars and drinking).  I once saw a sign in a shopping mall that said "No Liming and no Loitering".

Combine the carnival colors, the human like tank leaning back looks to be be very relaxed and is in a state of liming with his friend the smaller tank. There is an intruder that would like to join and light up the conversation and there is a niggling feeling that it might get explosive. (*_*).

Another winning combination. Your title says it all. A beauty of a picture for those who like indulging into this kind of artwork. It's great pleasure to see your work again.
