It was a hot July evening and my wife suggested we go for a walk. We went to Alexandra Palace park and when we came in front of the Palace I saw a magnificent full moon rising. I had my camera with me but no tripod...I looked around and I saw a solid bin, I rested the camera on that and I took four shots with different settings. What you see is the best of the bunch. Alexandra Palace is in North London and the horizon line is South London, Canary Wharf is on the far right, a few miles away, as the crow flies.

Very nice comforting shot my friend, folks sitting on the grass, enjoying the cool air, isn't life good?

I like the exposure, capturing the moon and the moon gazers. This has to be the feel good image of the week

Amazing moon, and mood, Dimitri. When the image is seen large it really deploys its virtues. I would expect a lot of noise under these conditions but i can't find a single pixel of it, top performance.

How lovely that your wife suggested you go for a walk Dimitris.  Beautifully captured with such beautiful colour in the moon. I imagine this was the first full moon since the 'Strawberry Moon/Solstice'.  Seems like such a peaceful, calm evening. Beautiful mood.

Superb, peaceful image.  Nicely composed with the big tree on the left and the moon is amazing.  Really nice!

Superb detail in relatively low light! I guess the make do tripod worked out well : - )

Nice to see people out and about "moon bathing" just like the Adams Family!

Very well done my friend!

Best Regards
