Coho 2 Posted July 29, 2016 The adults Turkey Vulture can have a wingspan of just under 2 m. They are fairly large birds and typically weigh in the neighborhood of 2 kg. This image was taken at a wildlife refuge in southern Washington, the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge. I was there twice over the last week. Each time I saw Turkey Vultures. Several of them flew within 10 m of my car and I was impressed with their size. Link to comment
