Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted July 24, 2016 Large view preferred. We just had a new Minnesota native garden installed in our backyard. This image is one of the only near-mature blooms on the first day after planting. The image is taken with a 90mm macro on a tripod. I deliberately have an extremely limited DOF. The wind a reality, was certainly a factor in this capture. Your views are appreciated. Larry Link to comment
jlg 0 Posted July 24, 2016 It's a beautiful image, in green and subject and your narrow DOF works very well. Odd right hand placement works very well too. Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted July 24, 2016 Jose, Thanks for the compliment on this image. I am not well practiced at using this lens, so I appreciate your comment. Larry Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted July 25, 2016 I agree with Jose' assessment of the this image Larry. I can add that the larger view shows us some great close up detail. I love the narrow dof. Good luck with the garden.BR, Holger Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted July 27, 2016 Holger, Thanks for weighing in on this one. I need to practice more with this macro lens, so I feel more competent with it. The garden is a major backyard restoration. It will take a year or two to get mature. Larry Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted July 29, 2016 I had to fight the urge to recommend cropping a bit of the left side. In the end this works for me. Link to comment
