The variety of intense colors is appropriate for this amusement park scene.  The slight blur of the action and the twilight lighting add to a dreamlike quality.  A phrase used by Tom Waits comes to mind - "electric sugar".  I especially like how squidboy is looking forward and enjoying the ride, as a normal person might, but the boy behind him seems uninterested in the odd fellow ahead of him, or in the roller coaster, but has found something more interesting to look at, namely the photographer.

Thanks Mark. I took quite a few images of this ride. They were fine, but the smiling face looking directly at me made this one work for me. 

You're right, Paul, its the image of the boy looking at us that anchors this picture that otherwise would drift away into the ephemeral;.
