Coho 2 Posted July 15, 2016 This is one of those images where you sort of break the rules by putting the bird right in the center of the photograph. The bird is at a diagonal and even though there is a fair amount of green space in the upper half of the frame and the left of the frame, the bird is still in the middle. Does it work? The bird was about 4 m from the lens. The tail should probably be a little sharper but I was already at F 10. Link to comment
Giangiorgio Crisponi 425 Posted July 16, 2016 A very nice image,at first glance it seems he has the beak dripping blood as in birds of prey, then you realize that he has eaten some juicy berries, ciao Giangiorgio Link to comment
wobby 0 Posted July 16, 2016 With all the "empty space" - background - on the left hand side, I think it is no problem at all to "break" the rules and have the bird centered. Very nice image, with its "bloody" beak. Congrats, Regards, Wobby. Link to comment
gregverena 336 Posted July 16, 2016 While the bird's thorax may be centered, the lower part of the body and the branch lend weight to the right third of the shot- not that that always matters- more to the point, excellent shot! Link to comment
