Perfect, the DOF, color, water droplets, and fine detail all work together for a superb image... Mike

Thanks very much, Mike. A windless moment helped. Is July over here and is still raining a lot.

Refreshing image Dimitri. I especially like the "orbiting" satellite baby roses and the perfect contrast between foreground - background.

This may come down to personal taste, but if I could change one thing about the photo, I'd make it a bit lighter and airier. The focus, composition, and color are great. You nailed the sharpness and other technical aspects. But I think the story of a beautiful flower after a storm (presumably) would be enhanced if the photo was lighter overall. Good shot, keep it up!

The exposure looks fine to me on my recently calibrated monitor.  Really gorgeous color and detail!

Thank you Andrew for taking the time to comment. On my monitor it looks OK, any lighter and the highlights would have been blown -:).

Thank you, Kathy for your positive confirmation and feedback !. I am much obliged to you my dear !!.

Janine, we have lots of rose bushes in our garden, but this one is very special, my wife grew it from a cutting that she got from her mother, God rest her soul, over 25 years ago...It has a lovely aroma too. Thank you for taking the time, my dear !!.

Such a beautiful rose Dimitris. Your title is so fitting, considering your wife planted it from a cutting from her mother's plant.  It is such a full blossoming variety and I can't get over the number of buds! The colour is beautiful and on my monitor it is just right. Any lighter and the highlights would be blown on  mine as well.  I use a desktop computer and Moniter to do my images. If I were to use my laptop, while it is a very good one, I have never been able to calibrate it well.  Your wife must truly feel that 'life is in bloom' when she cuts a blossom and brings it into your home - it would make me feel closer to my Mother - I imagine the fragrance is heavenly.
