Lots of distractions here. The patterned rug, the paws in front clipped off, and the background in general are all competing for this little pups spotlight and makes this very busy.

a question: what's against a scene being 'busy' ?

this pet is not retired in an empty kennel cage but happily lives in someone's home with all the unavoidable clutter involved. 

this picture is a witness of that situation.

of course, tastes differ ;-)
