Guest Guest Posted July 13, 2016 I love the play of textures, the rigidity of the vertical lines on the steps of the escalator and the curvaceousness of the folds in the legs. It has a nice abstract quality even while having a narrative as well. Knowing it's the Macy's escalator, so much a part of it is the golden brown color of the wooden sides and I'm wondering if the black and white rendering, while in keeping with the more abstract nature of this, actually does it justice. It loses its sense of time and place in black and white. Link to comment
