I've never even conceived that escargot could be the worthy subject of a photograph, much less an intricate, dramatic abstract - until now.  The effect of the polar coordinates filter is the impression that each of the escargot is moving toward the center, as if being called by some mysterious force.  Since escargot are not sentient beings, I must conclude that they feel this force in substantially the same way that they feel cold or heat.

Alternatively, perhaps the reason for the convergence is territoriality, and accordingly each snail is about to do battle with the others to acquire all the territory for itself.  It's somewhat amazing to me how this interpretation mirrors human history.

Technically, I'm dazzled by the exquisitely fine detail.  The warm colors are vivid despite the somewhat low saturation level.

My best always,

It xoes appear like someone has "snails on the brain", but then I have a strange eye sometimes ;-).  Excellent work... Mike

Yes, Kathy!

Abstracts are for your imagination to see whatever it wants to see! I also see that at least now that you pointed it!

Thank you very much for your contribution
