Some unusual clouds in the sky yesterday in parc St.Catherine Quebec. Larger view Available.

It makes me kind of dizzy or even stoned and gives me the feeling that i am under the sea surface and i am watching huge waves crashing over me.

Is it legal Tony?

I think both have a surreal quality, owing to the clouds' appearance.  Each cloud formation may have its own story to tell.

B&W definitely was the right choice.  This enables the viewer to concentrate on the forms, shapes, and textures without the possible distraction from colors.

My best,

michael

Have you been smoking something? (*_*). I spotted these clouds and knew they were unusual and after trying a few different compositions, I settled on this one.  Thanks for stopping by and keep on shooting with a camera of course.

Did you notice that I made this one a bit bigger for PN??

Thanks,

I had never seen a scene like this  but I was visualizing it in BW at the time with a possibility that it could be viewed as an abstract. Thanks for stopping by.

Glad you liked them both. I was thinking this kind of capture is risky in terms of aesthetics.

Michael, what you wrote is what I had in mind. A few years ago, a Photographer at PN who is not very active whispered that to me and I learn slowly but surely.  Thanks and all the best,

Thanks for telling me they were clouds, I wasn't getting there. I love the image and the abstract design. This is indeed an unusual and interesting image. Well seen and well captured.

I like the  original posted  image the most. Excellent composition and a dramatically  nice photograph. Did I say,  it  is a very good B&W  work as well?

Cheers.
