Sun & Rain - Strange Bedfellows - Candiac

A mixture of rain and no rain. I have never quite seen anything like that before. I looked outside my residence and on one side the clouds were black while on the other side it was bright and sunny. I grabbed my back pack and had some fun. I took a whole bunch of images but thought I would share this one.

Just gorgeous cloud formation Tony.  Hope you kept your camera dry!

Fantastic.  Columns of rain are more easily seen from altitude (planes or mountains) so you were very fortunate.  Beautiful color... Mike

mike - thanks a few minutes earlier when the rain was more intense, there was not much form but as it receded, it gave me this one chance to get what you see in the original. And the young "Canadian Elvis"  David Thibault will perform on this platform for "free" tonight.

Strange indeed!  I like how the orange pours down into the horizon, almost spilling and spreading from the clouds.

Hi Tony,   What a cloud!  Nature's drama never stops, and you manage to capture much of it real well. There's a lot of energy and power in this image.  Did you head for cover 15 minutes after taking this?   Larry
