Saadsalem 74 Posted June 13, 2016 I like this image, and I think it got a far greater potential to be better. Regards. Link to comment
lynnemass 10 Posted June 14, 2016 Nice capture and super composition. What if you lightened and opened up the front where the little girl is and darkened the back. The way it is now, the viewer's eye is pulled back away from the child to a blurry uninteresting distance and a dill but bright sky. Try darkening that too. What do you think? Link to comment
bjorn_moback 2 Posted June 15, 2016 … a splendid komposition. Besides… the photo loks like it is coming from the 30 or 40´. Link to comment
smooth 285 Posted June 19, 2016 I appreciate your suggestion about the image.Need to play with your idea regarding focus. Thanks :-) Link to comment
donna pallotta 108 Posted August 16, 2016 wonderful street shot, Arthur... all alone on that street in her bare feet carrying a big stick or pole and ready to play... it's darling... and your treatment does make it look like a faded photo that could have been taken in the 30's... ;-} dp Link to comment
andrzejp 7 Posted January 17, 2018 Hi Arthur, I would not change it. It is splendid the way it is. Lynne describes the way our brain will most likely view the scene, but this is a moment in time captured by the camera and it does not have to look the same as our brain will process this scene. Wayne Melia 6,000 Posted August 15, 2019 Impressive as a singular artwork; more excellent because of the implication of an untold story. This is what what makes great photography. Link to comment
smooth 285 Posted August 15, 2019 Thanks Wayne, your comment makes me proud. Best Regards Arthur Link to comment
DGorinstein 20 Posted December 2, 2019 Another artistic, unique capture of the expression of a face....and this time a child. A whole story has evolved from the distance up to this point. What could the story be? DG Link to comment
smooth 285 Posted December 2, 2019 This is one of my own favourites. Taken an early Sunday morning in Old-Town (Stockholm). Her mother was working in an architect agency while the barefoot girl was playing outside. Best regards. Arthur Link to comment
