The huge cloud seemed to be following the trail across the peat moss

field.Thank you for your comment-Laurent

A powerful and looming picture which makes one shiver, just looking at it.

First class job.

I'd suggest you try and straighten up the horizon to improve the symmetry. Maybe a little manipulation to subtly increase the contrast and then the fill light. (The shadow detail on the left is a little lacking).

This is a gallery standard photograph.

Well done.

Thank you for viewing this, for the kind appreciation and the valuable observations.Of course I should have detected the tilting horizon which I have corrected on the attached version along with slight touch ups on the left clouds and some filling of the blown out spot in the upper center if the scene.Better?

Merci et meilleures salutations-Laurent

Laurent,  I wouldn't want this cloud following me down the road.  I'd probably open the shadows on the field more to get some detail and might experiment with lowering the contrast.  Just my humble opinion.

Thank you for looking in and for the suggestion.I shot this facing the sun and the ground portion came out ultra dark on my JPEG capture;the cloudy sky was my focus but I did try to brighten up the ground as you suggest but this is the best I could muster without losing some definition(with my tools/skills).

Meilleures salutations-Laurent
