I love this one with its division of space, effectively putting the cows into separate enclosures. I'm surprised that this one hasn't attracted more notice. I think it's a very good picture, cleverly composed with excellent tones...

Great composition.  Caught my eye from the rest immediately.  And perfect iin BW because it is about the composition and not the colors.  The trailer at the upper right offers added value .  Well seen and nicely captured.

First and foremost, congratulations on the POTD.  This image certainly deserves recognition as does your work, in general.

Similar to Jack's observation, I am fascinated by the window's role in this image.  It's as if it serves as a barrier, not only to separate each group of cows from each other, but also possibly to ensure that they don't overgraze any particular area.  The image is masterfully conceived and executed.

My best,

michael

Jack,

Thank you very much for your comment. As always, they are highly appreciated.

Lynne,

Thank you for noticing this among others. I too think the trailer adds value by giving a sense of space and location, and tells the viewers that this is a farm, not wilderness.

Larry,

Thanks so much for stopping by, and also for your comments on my other image.

Michael,

Thank you very much for stopping by, and your comment. As soon as I saw the scene, I felt this invisible boundary between the clusters of cows, even without the fence. Then, when I noticed the fence, it was a natural choice to include it in the picture to emphasize the separation and space for the animals.
