Initially a classic scene, but upon examination I see that Amazon, Yahoo and the street defecators (graffiti) have invaded.  Excellent timing to catch the gentleman looking back in curiosity, perhaps a shift change at the factory?… Mike

What I like most about this is the wry humor of the shot. Guys going to work, could be any time in the last 25 years -- a cycle driven sales or delivery vehicle that goes back to at least the turn of the century in conjunction with Amazon / Yahoo. Just brings the same kind of wry smile.

Oh wow, oh wow, oh wow.

I am almost speechless, but I can say that the guy on the left is absolutely priceless.

Jack, I know that you are no gearhead, but I can't help but wonder which lens you use on that D7000.   I daresay it is a notch up from my lowly Sigma--not to suggest that that is why you get the great shots and I don't.

Pardon my French but horeshit. Photographically, my pictures are no great shakes. I'm using a Tamron 18-270mm, f3.5-6.3. It's ok for now but it seemed to give better results on my D-7000 than with my "new" D-7100.

Hahaha. . . but ask around.

Overall aesthetic quality aside, I am wondering about technical matters, such as why you get such sparkling, clear results.  The answer may be as simple as that you probably frame more carefully and thus do not crop so much. Perhaps the longer zoom helps somewhat in getting the close-ups without cropping.  Perhaps your black and white post processing is better--but something is.  I really don't know what it is, but I'm pretty sure it isn't my imagination.

I have the D7100 as well--a used one I got on eBay.  It is a perfectly good camera, but there is something special about that D7000.  Maybe it is a matter of where we have traveled together--and with whom.  Lately I have been shooting a used D5200 in bad neighborhoods because it would be no great financial loss if it were stolen or smashed.  I have to say, however, that I see absolutely nothing wrong with its image quality.  I do miss the second control wheel, but I have some work-arounds.

Oh, well, as they say, "A bad workman blames his tools."

Different characters have different things to do, only the passing by person is somehow curious! Nice story and looks pleasant to the eye!

Cheers
