Thanks for viewing/comments! Mommy brought back a Starling still alive and he

actually got off, flew away for a few feet but got caught back. This one is first frame

when Mommy just flew in and threw the Starling on the 'plate'.

Wow, you're right in the thick of the action.  You almost got Mom, just one talon still showing ;-).  Good stuff... Mike

Thanks Greg & Verena! Yes ... these bird are Canibals and specifically Avivore!

Thanks Mr. Mancil! I was shooting the chick when the mother came in .. so I continue shooting. Since the lens is fix focal 300mm  (focal view 600mm), I could not zoom back. It's still good because later when the same thing happen I was shooting with the MC-14 on (1.4 teleconvert) and that 840mm focal view which leave no room for two bird at all.

Merci Beaucoup Pierre! Yup, I did not see all this while I shoot. I know something is going in with all the commotion but I am too closed to the action (fullframe shots) to see clearly. I got 10 frames or so and my camera shoot 10fps, hence, what you see had happened in 1/10th of a second. One can not plan for this type of shot since I know the mother came in with a 'prey' (I normally say a  'kill) and this family seem have a habit of taking the prey back .. alive since other folks had shot like this before.  About 1 hour later it happened again with the prey being a dead Mocking bird - no action like this!
