To obtain all in focus, I used the method of focus stacking, merging

three photos of this beautiful flower of caper. The buds of this

flower are used in cooking for their intense flavor both salted or in

vinegar especially for flavoring pizzas. Thanks for your comments

Giangiorgio,

Love the clarity and tenderness of this bloom- also very interesting to know where those capers come from. Bravissimo!

Caro Giangiorgio, the image is very well contrasted, because all colors beautifully highlight  themselves against black background.

You're already an expert in the art of getting this amazing sharpness, with the help of this technique that uses several shots. The result is amazing.

I know this plant very well, and it's also part of our cuisine. We eat not only the flower buds but also the stems. Here, they're put in glass jars, in salt water and vinegar, closed and left in the sun for a few days, at the end they are so delicious.

The tapenas/capers are widely used in salads, thanks to their acid taste, very good appetizer and served well to start eating. A good snack. A delight for the palate. I love them.

Amazing sharpness and details in this macro. A proud flower :)

The larger size is amazing.

Con cariño, Laura

Excellent and lovely!  Fine work! Having used capers constantly for most of a lifetime, had never seen the flower.  Thank you.
