This is a regular/favorite stop for these Snow geese in their migration;the colored one is of the Blue-morph  variety and in very small minority in the flock.Always a delight to observe this big birds in such large quantity....up to 35,000 sometimes.When I stopped to seize these from the highway,some guy pulled up behind me and asked me if hunting season was opened...and first thing I know,he pulls out a gun and starts shooting giving way to a panic lift off by the flock.Sad and my wife was some upset....but touchy to argue with somebody with a gun.

It is always a grand spectacle...and a noisy one especially in the panic situation I noted to Mike above.Caramelle was not of this trip as Monique and I were enjoying our 50th wedding anniversary trip.
