Intriguing perspective. The relative sizes of the two elements play trick with one's vision. The left one resembles a picture frame, so the usual expectation is a far bigger size than the right element. So it gives the illusion of two objects being at different depths rather than side by side, or that one is looking at a mirror on the left. However then one notices that the textures on the wall on both sides are of the same scale, so they have to be side by side.

The picture actually hangs, as you see it, in my bathroom. I don't even consider it odd. I wonder what that says about me?

With the knowledge that the left one is indeed a picture frame, my brain tells me, that is one huge door knob. What that says about you: you must have hands the size of a monster :-)

Jokes aside, I really like the cute little picture frame, it is like one of those artifacts that come with a key chain. Great composition.

Another instance of bifurcation, Jack.  The art item to our left is for our enrichment, while the one on the right is an instrument we use (although we can admire it as well).

Also, another instance of minimalism.  It demonstrates how much we can appreciate an image that isn't filled with needless clutter.

Portals of relief!  Time spent admiring the image before proceeding is directly related to the urge and inversely proportional to the appeal of the image.
