Strange (for me) way to do that Ken...normally they use a crane and not so shallow waters...but I'm the outsider, they know what to do...nice photo, thanks! Best regards!

Now I've seen (almost) everything - a portable launch device.  You've done a great job with this image - vivid colors, plenty of detail, etc.

Ken; Having visited a number of lifeboat stations in the US, I find this image fascinating. I've seen various hoists, ramps, cranes, slides, and runways for launching lifeboats, but never a caterpillar-across-the-beach. The image is very nicely executed and presented. Good colors composition. You should send this one in to Trailer Boat Magazine as a most unusual exemplar of the type. Well done.

Hi Guy's. A big thank you for all the above comments, very welcome........David, as you say a very different way to launch a lifeboat. This image shows a small part of a training exercise which attracted a large crowd of onlookers. At low tide the boathouse is a long way from the sea and this works, the actual launching into the sea is worth seeing. Best regards Ken.
