While I was photographing insects that pollinate cistus flowers (

Cistus salvifolius), typical of the Mediterranean maquis, I noticed

this unusually firm insect, at first glance I had not noticed the

spider that had caught him, he was perfectly camouflaged to deceive me

too.

Well, there's always something that attracts attention, nothing ever goes unnoticed: in this case the statism of the bee. There're important details in this macro, such as pollen that permeates the insect and the spider too.

Pollen may represent an equivalent of life, new life ... with death that has this scene associated to it.

Very good macro, excellent detail and clarity (amazing contrast in lights).

Congratulations!.

P.S. I missed your images, your comments and...missed you, of course !. Kisses !.

Incredible and beautiful Macro. What puzzles me is the wings of the bee all

broken-up (already). Very nice. Thanks for sharing, Regards, Wobby.

Fantastic image, if you had not explained what we are looking at my mind saw a creature never before known to man, a winged spider (that's a scary thought in itself). Your capture is excellent with very good detail and it's a very interesting shot as well.

Survival of the one who is most prepared and this spider picked the perfect hiding spot.  Wonderful macro... Mike

Two for the price of one! You've been lucky Giangiorgio, and added to your skills with the camera, it has resulted in a nice picture with good quality and pretty detail.

Kind Regards,

Rosario.

I have never seen or heard of such a creature.  Can't really appreciate it without the close-up view.  Really excellent detail and treatment.

Very well done...

Looking at the wings of the bee I would say it wasn't flying very well, Giangiorgio. Fantastic capture of life in nature. Best regards, Paul.
