Giangiorgio Crisponi 461 Posted May 7, 2016 While I was photographing insects that pollinate cistus flowers ( Cistus salvifolius), typical of the Mediterranean maquis, I noticed this unusually firm insect, at first glance I had not noticed the spider that had caught him, he was perfectly camouflaged to deceive me too. Thanks for your comments. View larger Link to comment
lauramarco 0 Posted May 7, 2016 Well, there's always something that attracts attention, nothing ever goes unnoticed: in this case the statism of the bee. There're important details in this macro, such as pollen that permeates the insect and the spider too.Pollen may represent an equivalent of life, new life ... with death that has this scene associated to it.Very good macro, excellent detail and clarity (amazing contrast in lights).Congratulations!.P.S. I missed your images, your comments and...missed you, of course !. Kisses !. Link to comment
wobby 0 Posted May 7, 2016 Incredible and beautiful Macro. What puzzles me is the wings of the bee allbroken-up (already). Very nice. Thanks for sharing, Regards, Wobby. Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted May 7, 2016 Fantastic image, if you had not explained what we are looking at my mind saw a creature never before known to man, a winged spider (that's a scary thought in itself). Your capture is excellent with very good detail and it's a very interesting shot as well.BR, Holger Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted May 7, 2016 Survival of the one who is most prepared and this spider picked the perfect hiding spot. Wonderful macro... Mike Link to comment

pablowarko 1 Posted November 4, 2019 Looking at the wings of the bee I would say it wasn't flying very well, Giangiorgio. Fantastic capture of life in nature. Best regards, Paul. Link to comment
