I like the effect, but feel there is a bit too much of the black and especially that one big bush.

I think the bush helps to increase the sense of depth. It's OK for me.

I feel that by taking the foreground up one zone, the viewer would have a better sense of depth. This way is too dark.

I agree with comments about foreground being too dark. If there was a little more detail, it would've been better. Otherwise, I like the expansive feeling of this photo!

I like the framing to highlight the church. Lower angle of light would deliver a better effect, scond, there seems too much bright area on the left to distract the eye from focusing on the main subject (church) - either choice of a lower angle or crop would help. Just a thought :)
