tm_j 30 Posted April 20, 2016 Thanks for viewing/comments! He flew right toward us after getting the fish and got so close (right over head) such that I had to zoom back to 124mm (248mm in 35 format) to get this shot. Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted April 20, 2016 Thanks Bill! I zoomed back a bit too much and resulted in a much smaller crop than I want but it came out ok. With a half-size sensor I want to shoot fullframe as much as I can to preserve details. However, it's a wild guess since the camera focus is not that fast (moving bird coming toward you) and I feel safer zooming way back. Link to comment
wobby 0 Posted April 21, 2016 Nice capture. Not as crisp and sharp as you have made us used to...........Best regards, Wobby. Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted April 21, 2016 Thanks Chris! Thanks Wobby! LOL, it's tough to shoot bird flying toward the lens and this mirrorless camera focusing system is no match with my usual Canon 7D Mark II + 500mm F4 yet . Sometimes it got it's own mind and won't focus either but two years ago I could not have even imagine doing what I am doing now with mirrorless camera. So, it's getting better! :-) Link to comment
