When I first saw the thumbnail, I thought it was a flower in the water...a well balanced composition that makes an excellent Abstract.  It is a bag of garbage but because of the red writing on the bag, for some reason there is this 'illusion' (probably only in my mind) that is an attractive shape and combined with the grasses I guess one can find a bit of beauty in most things if we only look at the  subtle nuances within.

I'm actually relieved that I wasn't far off your interpretation Jack. Just think if there comes a time when any of us is left in a pile of rubble (ie earthquake, monsoon, hurricane, twister etc) we will be shifting our internal focus to find 'beauty' in what remains of the aftermath !

Just goes to show you how far away I am from mainstream tastes on this site. I immediately respond to a semi-abstract photo such as this but do so mostly alone and in silence (except for you of course). Oh well, I'll just meander along my own twisted course. At least I don't have to worry about crowds.
