Our Granddaughter Layla has 2 large dogs for buddies. She gets

along great with them and the youngest, Sasha, is the one who is

used as a 'Jungle Gym'. She can crawl all over that dog and Sasha

pays no mind. My son Jesse even showed us a short phone Video

where Layla sneakily steals Sasha's Toy Bone and scurries away

(crawling) and actually giggling-knowing what she has done! (babies

just amaze me). Depending on her mood, she may withhold the

bone from Sasha for a bit before throwing it to her and of course,

Sasha brings it back to her. Sasha in turn will quietly approach Layla

and steal it time to time and tosses it to Layla!!! But when Layla

came to visit, it was the first time she has seen our Abbey. I don't

know if she thought she was a toy?? She just looked at her with an

odd expression. Excited, Abbey started to do her hyper circle sprints

from living room to kitchen. When Layla saw that she started to laugh

and could not stop! and of course we all did the same because of

Layla. I tried to get a capture of it all but I was laughing so hard I

could not focus! Abbey has a bit of a long tongue for her breed and

Layla was determined she would 'capture' it!!

Had I been thinking beforehand, I should have dropped the table cloth to the floor so that the background was not distracting - always learn the hard way, but glad I got the capture after all.

The dark table cloth does not distract me too much.  If anything, the contrast makes the baby stand out.  Nice candid shot!

I don't find the background distracting at all , in fact the dark colour sets off Layla's head nicely A  fine shot that will make a fine addition to the Album . They don't stay babies for long ! Bill

Two cute and innocent things together! Some leg is holding the first one, ha!

Good technical quality and good everything, Gail!

Best regards

Your words are lovely - and you know how much joy it is to  have grandchildren.  I always called my Dad's Mom- Granny, still do when I think of her and she passed on when I was only 9 years old. She was such a wonderful lady.

I have followed your journey with your lovely boys and I know how much joy you find in being a father.  Thank you for your lovely thoughts shared, I know you truly feel that way :)

I guess if we worried about every little thing while taking photos of these 'busy' ones, we never would get the captures!! Yes the darker colour does set off her face.  While 'enjoying' time together - so many in one room - you're lucky if you can keep up with these little feet.  Yes, I'm sure this will remind them of what fun we had that day!!

Thank you both for your kind words shared. Eystein, I think Abbey was taking a quick breather ! She is just fascinated with the baby and was enjoying the 'play' - she hadn't seen the baby for awhile and I think she was confused as to just what this little person was :)
