Supriyo; This is an engaging yet mysterious image. There is no obvious connection between the framed photo an its venue, yet it feels somehow connected or related. I find myself searching for that connection, as a result of which I notice many small and well-defined details in the surrounding elements. The B&W treatment removes one set of data, thus adding to the mystery. This one has me confused, but very interested. I assume it is from your recent California Missions series, but even that is not clear without doing external research. Well done.

David,

You have raised a point that I was oblivious about, because I know the venue and the content of the photo, so I know the connection. If that mystery, that intrigue is part of the character of the image, I won't elaborate further. I will let the viewer engage with the image. I suppose you will be able to guess the connection once you see it in the context of the other images in the folder. Thank you for your very insightful comment.

In addition to the enigma stated by David, I'm impressed with the light control and perfect exposure where the face of the painting is remarkably clear in the strong backlight.  An impressive shot... Mike
