Jack McRitchie 150 Posted April 6, 2016 I like your rendition of this building. It just squat there like a giant toad. Strip District Meats adds a further oddly incongruous touch that sets the imagination ablaze. Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted April 6, 2016 Hi Tony, I like the effect of the PP you chose, nice and heavy on the contrast. Even though it's color it has a film noir feel. Great work and title.BR, Holger Link to comment
Tony Brandstetter 814 Posted April 7, 2016 It's easy to film a shit hole, it took years to get this way, it did all the work, all I did was document it. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 263 Posted April 7, 2016 I think...I have a feeling that the title is a bit cynical and I don't agree if it is for that's a real aesthetic and photographic paradise for me! Cheers, Tony! PDE Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted April 7, 2016 I was almost convinced this is a real meat market until I saw "exotics"; but, wait, maybe it is a meat market of a different flavor. A fine street shot with interest and imagination... Mike PS... Their web site actually looks pretty good ;-). Link to comment

ricardogirao 0 Posted April 7, 2016 It may be easy as you say but that doesn't decrease the documental value of the image, neither the coldness preception that was reinforced by the processing of this image. I think it's a very good work. From a composition point of view, I understand the documental interest in capturing the whole place, but we may get a bit lost in so many aspects. I believe that, as alternative, it would be worth to try some zooming on one (or more) of this many appealing elements in the facade.Regards, ricardo Link to comment
gregverena 339 Posted April 8, 2016 The "strip" in Pittsburgh is a famous market area for ethnic and excellent foods, particularly meats and cheeses. When we visited there once, although it wasn't "modern" in the sense of a mall, it was wonderfully intriguing and for a foodie, definitely a paradise! Link to comment
