The composition and perspective are too in your face. I would rather see this log as part of the background as it appears the background might actually be pretty cool.

Thank you.This is a stump,so my guess it is from the shore erosion of a lot that was cleared some time ago as the roots have been totally eaten off by its journey in the waters.

Thank you for viewing and for the observation which is in synchro with what I wanted from this shot:...to be right in the face of the viewer.I agree as you note that this stump would be a good foreground prop for a wider shot on the beach;see the one I have uploaded at the right of this one.
