dgv 1 Posted March 31, 2016 You are right...If you put in the time you get a reasonable result.I did not like the background of the picture so I changed it to look something like an old master's. Well it went that way..-:). I appreciate your visit and comment very much. All the very best, my friend. Link to comment

dgv 1 Posted March 31, 2016 We came across this gentleman in the Guell Park in Barcelona. We were drawn by this amazing sound...We listened to him playing. When he finished, I applauded him shouting 'bravo'.. he looked at me and his look was one that seemed as if he was waking from a trance...I wondered what a magnificent player like him doing playing in the park.He was selling CDs with his music..I bought one and I play it now and then and I remember the encounter with nostalgia. The instrument is a a kind of lute, a copy and an adaptation of a medieval version, I believe. Sorry Mihali, but I have no idea how many chords it has..-:). Many to be sure. Many thanks for your visit and comment, my friend. Link to comment

alfbailey 1 Posted March 31, 2016 You actually used the term "Old Masters" and that is exactly the thought that came to mind mind upon first viewing this image. The light distribution and clarity is beautifully applied. Excellent result my friend! Best Regards Alf Link to comment

Bachir 0 Posted April 13, 2016 What an amazing, beautiful and rare musical instrument. A luth with two arms, I wonder what sort of sound would come out of it. I am sure the musician won't be disappointed with this photograph. From a dark background you've managed to illuminate the instrument, the hands and musician's face with such wonderful lighting. In this one, I see two old masters. Dimitris, this is Sublime! Link to comment
dgv 1 Posted April 14, 2016 I am truly delighted with your visit and comment !. You mentioned the sound, well there was a microphone on the bottom left that I covered. The sound was amplified with the microphone and it made the instrument come alive plus the fact that he had a loudspeaker to his right through which he played an accompaniment to the lute. My best regards and thank you very much for the compliment. Link to comment
