i gave this a 7, Supriyo, because it's so fantastic and captivating... like an illustration in a book of fables. Is the dog stopping by the welcoming tree, or maybe looking out at something that's caught its eye in the bay. your perspective, pov, is so skillfully wrought here, with its dof, its angles, and its atmosphere of a mood where everything seems created by the water, like the water is the author of the story; a tree, a dog, small ships, a place to dine along a bay. this is a pure piece of photography, not ornate, not mediocre, not belonging to a category. the scene might be unfairly overlooked as nothing much were it not for the passion of the photographer who brings its power to life. congrats ;-} dp

Dear Donna,

Thank you very much for elevating my work so high. You have described the kind of photography I dream to pursue, but cannot always. My ego, prejudice, penchant for grandiose come in the way. I am glad that this image resonates with you. I don't mind if others don't find it worthy (I fully understand why), but if one, just one person takes it to heart, that is a prize worth receiving. You have also described this image in ways I could not have in a million year. Thank you for stopping by.

This stands out in your portfolio due to that strong diagonal with the tree and the luminous white of the dog, nose pointed toward the horizon.  A lot of visual balance and tension here.
