I like those yellow flowers  and  the  dark  background  highlighting them even more. Excellent work.

Cheers.

G&V; The composition, background, colors, and DoF are all excellent. The quality of these elements is slightly belied by imperfections in the flowers themselves. Given the perfection of the image making, it is just a little disconcerting aesthetically to have this effort focused on an imperfect subject. This has everything to do with me as viewer, and nothing to do with your choices as a photographer. It reminds me a little bit of a "Home Improvement" episode where Al does an absolutely magnificent restoration of a 1970's station wagon.;-) It makes me question my own attitudes as to what makes a worthy subject. Well done, and thanks for sharing.

Bela- thanks!

David- thanks for your thoughtful comment. I know what you mean, but there are times when we must realize, not all is perfect, certainly in nature, and yet, there is always a certain beauty. I could have touched up the few spots (which I in fact didn't notice till you mentioned it :) but, since that is the way it is, I don't think it detracts. Perfection has its place, but we need to recognize that it is not necessarily a necessity in order to be our best--- sorry, getting too philosophical- see what you do???? :)  G
