Jim_Dockery_Photos 2 Posted March 20, 2016 We skied up under this twisty snow cornice last week while back- country skiing in Washington's North Cascades. These are formed by wind driving snow from over the ridge (as you can see in the picture) and can be dangerous as avalanche triggers, but this one was very solid and stable. Link to comment
