Lovely shape and simplicity.

The cement between the bricks almost picks up the color of the gate. The minimal aspect of this type image always appeals to me Wolfgang. Yes an open gate but where do we go from here??

many thanks for your comments. @Holger: you got my idea :-)  In fact, I wasn't sure whether the 'open' gate vs. 'blocked/closed' brick wall was too subtle, so I'm happy to see that it reaches "open eyes"!

I love the softness you've achieved out of a metal gate against a brick wall! Just goes to show how photos can transform what they are photos of. This is a photo of a gate but it is so NOT a photo of a gate. It's simple but it actually penetrates deeper.

Love that structural work

There's a little hint of a heart hovering over the gate, suggested by the darker tone.  I like the little glimpse of alternate reality in the bricks flowing forward away from the wall.  That blue in the gate sings.
