Jack McRitchie 150 Posted March 11, 2016 I prefer this one in black and white. It best conveys the gritty, barren quality. What is this, an abandoned jail cell? (probably not; it would seem pretty easy to slip through those bars, open a window and escape.) Link to comment
DavidTriplett 12,682 Posted March 12, 2016 Michael; of this series, I like this one best. The B&W treatment is effective. The image has nice balance and texture, with good exposure. However, there a no "beams" in this image, neither structural nor of the sunny kind. The framing is of steel studs. The exterior walls appear to be concrete block with furring strips. Sorry, I can't help myself when it comes to the building stuff. This looks like a building under remodel, but maybe the money ran out? Well done. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted March 12, 2016 Very Good! My initial reaction was that this was an 'open air' concept for a jail but it makes more 'cents' that it is a personal residence under construction (thanks Dave) where lack of money was an issue. I like the fact that it is in Black and white. Well done. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted March 12, 2016 I'm most grateful for your feedback. David, you're correct; I should have used the term "wall studs." Link to comment
