Jim; the colors, shapes, and textures are nice, and make this view very accessible. I'm less certain about the intended message. Much of the veranda is outside the frame, and no single element or feature has the appearance of being the primary focus. What did you see here that I am not seeing?

David,

Thanks for the comment. The colors, shapes and textures are pretty much the message as I am intrigued by colonial era craftmanship. This is in colonial Cartagena, Columbia where the streets are very narrow and the buildings are 3 to 5 stories tall. Thus, composition is often challenging, even with a wide angle lens. Some of the other images in my Cartagena folder have a broader, more fully inclusive composition. I gave some thought to cropping to a 10:9  or 5:4 ratio to eliminate the white building in the background. But this I suppose, would have simply magnified the problem as you see it. Cheers, Jim
