2nd Beach Sunset in B&W

I lucked out with some sunset clouds at 2nd Beach in Olympic National

park. Not all luck though as I watched the forecast daily during my 5 day

visit and saved this little hike for the best day. This is a 2 shot pano

since I'm trying out a 55mm prime as my walk-around lens on my A7rII -

have to shoot panos when I want to go wide without walking too far

back.

A beautifully composed picture. The monolithic rock absolutely dominates the picture but, it's imposing, obscuring bulk is redeemed by the scraggly trees springing from its head like wispy, almost comic, hairs. Quite an image.

Too much of totally black volumes for my taste Jim, but if you keep just the upper half you get a perfectly balanced, beautiful image.
