The isolated pile up of sand infested ice cobbles look as if floating

on the fresh high tide waters. What do you think? Thank you-Laurent

Wow! Those strange icy sand formations really make the photo! Nicely composed. A bonus may be a better demarcation between the sky and the water. A ND Grad Hard filter would shine here. But when you start to use that kind of filters, you get addict to them...

Congrats for this nice shot and best regards,

Alain

Is a very interesting composition caught with this ice formations indeed, water so clear, each time you come with new and different  nice images.Nature is amazing and you show this very well from a long time. How do you feel this icy world after time had in Miami.?

Looks like a barge full of boulders- what fascinating anomalies the ice affords you! Miami- meh! it's always wet....(G)

Thank you kindly.I had a circ.polarizer on the lense but it did not pick up that sky which was somewhat overcast and at high noon. Not familiar with use of ND grad filters but given the quality of your work,I believe I should try it.I have uploaded at the left of this one another shot of this barge and have tweaked the sky seperately in PP.Any better?

Thank you my friend.Florida was great and I wish I could have had more time before coming back to my icy world.Maybe next year,I will try to escape to warmer climates but for a longer stretch;there is also plenty to photograph....without freezing your fingers.

This is exactly what I thought when I spotted this and ran a few shots, but the light was not that great.Following Alain's comment,I drove back to the spot this morning to see if I could get better shots....but the tide had lifted both ''barges'' and moved then closer to shore and grounded them;then I hit my camera on the ice and my bread and butter circ.polarizer came apart and I ended up with so-so shots.I'll try to take another go at it before it disappears.Re Florida;I guess I was punished for walking away from here as the water pipe from my well busted and I had to get a new one installed...through 3 ft of frozen ground/across the paved driveway etc....a total mess, part of our nothern package...what?

Meilleures salutations-Laurent
