The light here is very flat, and the color quite dull. The shadows are haphazardly placed. Keep shooting, it's the only way you learn.

Really?

If anyone is aware of what these look like, you will see that it is slightly damaged. This is because it had been frozen overnight and I brought it in out of the snow and allowed it to open up inside. It is, however, the first one this year.

Greg; if I found a flower in my yard this time of year, I would certainly shoot it, regardless any imperfections. I like this one. It gives me hope for the coming spring. Thanks for sharing.
