A brilliant lesson in composition, all of the elements

positioned in perfect placement to draw me in. Rich

range of tones. Thank you for showing me how it should be done.

Best Regards DB.

Maurizio,

B&W for places like this work so well for me. I  like the amount of detail and the depth your foreground has added. The clouds on this photo give it a feel that I enjoy. Thank you for sharing.

Amo queste rovine romane, ma, mi chiedo anche è vero che gli acquedotti sono venuti dagli Etruschi! Molto bella foto di B & W con il cielo scuro come è stato con il filtro polarizzatore!

Ciao Mau

Wonderful remnant of the old Roman Empire. A meticulous executed black and white. The cirrus clouds ad very well to this image. Audacious architecture for those days.

Kind regards,

Herman

Very nice use of black and white in this well-composed picture. Cloud effect a nice capture as well. Would love to see a close up of the larger structure.

It's wonderful that you can use a photograph for dual purposes - to enchant a viewer with Italy's amazing landscapes and also to remind a viewer about Rome's history.  Outstanding history.

I love antiquity like this!! Great composition...sloping land, wispy clouds, path on the ground. All make for a wonderful black and white photo. If you don't mind my asking, where did you take this shot??

Dear friends, Warren in particular, this is a corner of the "Parco degli Acquedotti" ( Park of Aqueducts ) , where three major aqueducts of ancient Rome arrived. We are at Cinecittà one of the most popular areas of Rome, near the most important centre of Italian cinema, Cinecittà (that is to say "the city of cinema")...exactly, the place of work of Federico Fellini and many other important Italian filmmakes. This place is one of the many beautiful corner of our capital. When you will come in Rome, call me and I will be with you for showing our city. Ciao Mau.

Thanks Maurizio,

Your description adds so much to the appreciation of the photo.

I've been to Italy twice (and loved every minute of it!) If I ever get back to Italy again I will certainly let you know!!

Thanks again!
