A Colony of Gulls

Taken today while biking around my home town. Thoughts appreciated.

Technical issues aside (as technical imperfections actually add to this photograph), this is an artistically haunting photograph, reminiscent of Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds. It certainly captures one's attention, but may not have the staying power needed for the wall, as I find the light standards annoying after a while. They are integral to this photograph, but detract from the overall longevity.

I love these type of dark artsy images.  If there are technical imperfections, being new I don't see them probably from my lack of technical know how.  I just see it how it is and I like it.

The Birds near the Bates motel.  Nice one Barry.

These birds seem somehow menacing, like shrapnel thrown aloft in an explosion or a swarm of locusts. An unsettling picture.

Thanks all for the comments, all appreciated.  Terry, know that the technical "issues" were actually post-processing choices.
