This image takes me back to my childhood in Cuba, where I use to go to school every day in an old train we called Sanguily just like this one! Warm regards my friend.

Great colors and a very interesting perspective David. It leaves me with an end of the line feeling for the train, with its' rusted parts. The light is awesome as are the strong contrast shadows. Very good work, again.

Jorge, muchisimas gracias por sus commentarios. Espero que sus recordanzas son felices. Agradesco sus palabras y sentimientos.

Holger, yes, this is the end of the line for this train car. It is parked in the railroad museum yard in Barstow. It likely receives more public appreciation here than it ever did in its working life, but is suffering from lack of maintenance. We hit the bridge and the train yard just at dawn, thus the wonderful light. This was my first real experience capturing railroad-themed subjects, so most of my images are truly experiments. Now I need to find new opportunities to apply the knowledge. Thank you for your kind words and encouragement.
