human images 2 Posted February 9, 2016 the word ingénue come to mind the moment I saw the portrait. But then this young woman could be an actress playing ingénue. There’s a little theatrical tension, a performance in the air that becomes her, and I sense something has yet to be settled between photographer and model, (and the viewer). Maybe the discomfort (mine) is nothing more than the picture insisting I’m getting old. Yes, an ingénue with much love in her --- the perched glasses atop her head surely add to her story! Guest Guest Posted February 13, 2016 Wow. Carlos really hit it on the head. A Lolita type tension not yet realized. Link to comment
sideris 0 Posted February 13, 2016 I agree with you, her ingenuity is real (she is 16) and with much love in her as well. She wasn't expecting the photo, just I call her, and she turned her face to my camera. Click! She is here. About the perched glasses, again, a detail proper of her age. Lovely. Thanks a lot Carlos! FredUh! Humber Humber would be captivated, as I was. But, as Carlos pointed above, her Lolita characterization only insists that I'm getting old fast and faster! Thank you very much my friend.
