Wayne Melia 5,998 Posted February 8, 2016 I like how this straddles the world/viewing_ experience (?) between real (identities we identify with = dog), and abstract (shapes and tones). mostly. except for the last light bar on RHS. I do not pretend to be expertly perceptive. Link to comment
David-Wisse 5 Posted February 9, 2016 Hi Mike - Ya, the jowls are the first to go, (or is it the legs?). Thanks Wayne - Appreciate your thoughts very much. I wanted the main subject off-center, but felt the one visible paw and the fold of cloth were important to anchor the right side, and contain the composition. You're right this is a study of light and dark, shape and shadow - as much as it is an image of a sleeping dog. Best, David Link to comment
