Sandy Vongries 34,428 Posted February 5, 2016 Tony, a very old friend bought a Martin (which he played very well) at a pawnshop in New Orleans, I wrote a (depressing) poem about that, and how his life spun after. I have a Gibson downstairs that I can't play w.a.s. with similar provenance. Any tint in this photo is based on age, and probably my crappy processing all those years ago. Thanks for commenting! sjmurray 33,701 Posted February 5, 2016 Nice to see some "Tri-X, Nikon FtN" stuff. I have a whole folder of photos of the late 60's taken with my Nikon FtN and the 50mm f 1.4. I shot hundreds of feet of bulk loaded Tri-x developed in D-76 1:1 and I have many fond memories of those days. Still, glad to be using digital today! Later in the 70's I also used medium format and 4x5. Link to comment
Sandy Vongries 34,428 Posted February 5, 2016 Steve -- vexing, all I can find is four rolls for '68-'69, don't know where they all went -- s/b a couple dozen at least each year. '70 I moved back to the country -- certainly a bit less interesting than NYC, but I will be scanning and posting some. I find, it may be scanning, or negative / slide age, digital seems a bit less grainy than film. Hersey, I know, and I still shoot film. Thanks for viewing / commenting. Link to comment
