6/7.

Great use of the rule of odds. You have three clear elements and those elements are complex within themselves and tell a story of their own.

Great job in capturing it all together in one single shot.

to Andres this isnt really a great example of rule of odds at all? perhaps that is what bothers me most? you want 3 groups. you have the main subject the guy on bike who divides the photo in half... the nuns because of their distance and space dont really appear to me as one but actually 2. the children can be considered as one for me so for me i see four and not groups of 3s, also the small child in the background really shouldnt be there at all.. how does he fit into the rules of odds?also the guy on the bike should be further back more like a triangular shape .

@ Stephanie. Very valid points. I nevertheless like it. But its good to see your critique. I like especially what you say about the triangle shape if the bike would be further back. About the other groups, the fact that they are all children or two nuns also connects them even if physically slightly apart. Thx for the comments!

i luv the movement in this photograph, Andrey... steph makes a good point about the use of space, but i think it can be said that it is not flat, and the closeness retains a pulling of the scene together. the boy creates the highest dynamic, the nuns are definitely walking and talking, the child playing in the background provides sufficient dof and dynamic, while the children and their dog in the foreground are poised and more interested in the viewer. the high-key grain and contrast places the the image in a rural or somewhat impoverished location... nice ;-} dp

Hi andrey,

For me this photo is essence of street photo. Various stories and energies at once. Black and white suits well to it. Kind regards. Eric
