For me the image is messy, the rock wall in the background is too distracting, there is no eye contact with the old lady and it feels very flat, there is no punch or drama to the mono colouring, its more a greyscale image and needs some tweaking to enhance the image, in my honest opinion. I am also not sure about the 50/50 split of the image through the vertical plane, it renders the image one of two half and whilst the right hand (old lady has some interest) there is nothing to hold the viewer on the images left.
