Neat angle.  And I like the snow at the tree base in the lower left.  But for me this is over-processed.  I know that big sunstars are created by using small apertures, which have very thin lines/points.  These ones are crazy-wide and over-yellowed.  But I'm sure this gets some novice & artistic votes.  Regards, Jeff

Thanks for your comment. I used the Nikkor AF-S 18-35 at an aperture of 11. At this "large" aperpture I always get such a sunstar with that (imho not very nice) fat lines. Perhaps to heavy contrast adjustments on the sunstar. But on my screen it looks very natural.

Best regards, Martin.

Martin, thanks for the additional details.  The "fat" lines are something I'd expect to see with a large aperture such as f/2.8.  Using f/11 I'd expect much thinner lines.  When I used a 16-35, which has 9 rounded blades, at f/11 I often got thin 36-point stars.  Your 18-35 has 7 rounded blades and so I'd expect to see thin 14-point stars.  Interesting.  Jeff
