What a good friend this fellow would be on your walks Radu.  Looks like the bright sun is hurting his eyes though.  He needs some snow goggles!

A fine shot,

David

David, thank you for visit and comment.Indeed the light was strong and his eyes are half closed,I like how his fir looks, they feel so good in winter time when all is clean.

I love animal pictures and have a special place for dogs!  This is a very nice capture.  I love that the dog appears to be looking directly at you, even though he may not have his eyes totally open due to the sunlight.  You have captured his entire shadow - nice job!  The detail in his fur is very nice - especially having detail in black (or dark) fur - not always easy to do.  If I am to give you something to think about these are a couple of things I see.  First, you might want to consider cropping out the branches at the top of the picture - I find them a little distracting.  Second, I am not sure if you might want to make the snow a little whiter? instead of it bring gray?  Is the light fur on the dog white?  Just a few things to think about - but I do love your portrait as it captures personality very well.

Patsy,Gregory and Verena,Linda,Pierre, many thanks for visit and comments that always I appreciate and enjoy. Is nice to share work and get advises from other,to see all the time what can be done better.

Linda, usually I do not like to take photo on bright sunny day and when is snow is more difficult to have a good balance between dark and bright light. For sure is easy to remove the upper fir branch or stone in right.About snow,me too I like always to have it as much as natural eyes can see in reality,so next time I try to have a better one. Many thanks for visit.
